Dr. Vaughn especially enjoys working with new puppy and kitten owners and loves to spend the time to guide them through the many steps required to make the new relationship a successful one. She also enjoys the challenge of diagnosing and developing treatment plans for medical conditions as well as surgery. Her continuing education is an important aspect of her commitment to her patients so that she is able to bring the best and newest treatments or surgical options to them.

An area of particular interest is pain management. Dr. Vaughn strongly feels that no patient should ever feel pain if it can in any way be avoided, or it should at least be minimized. She is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management to allow her to keep abreast of new developments in acute and chronic pain management that could benefit her patients.

She and her husband have lived in Warrenton for 8 years
and have 3 dogs and 5 cats. She enjoys gardening, jogging and rides a tandem bicycle with her husband.
